The organization of the Annecy Marathon (and all other organizations in France) requires a medical certificate to participate in the races it organizes. Your certificate must be at least 1 year old. Whether you are an elite, foreign or amateur athlete, your certificate must contain one of these mentions:

“no contraindication to the practice of running in competition”
“no contraindication to the practice of sport in competition”
“no contraindication to the practice of athletics in competition”

Exception

If you are FFA licensed, your license allows you not to submit a medical certificate. However, you must check that your license is valid with your club. No need for a certificate either for participants in Nordic walking and youth running.

Common mistakes

Be careful when filling out your medical certificate. We tend to encounter this type of error: The name on the medical certificate is different from the one mentioned on the registration; the certificate sent does not contain the correct information, the signature of the doctor or is dated more than one year ago.
